A Hundred Haunts
Gravy Crew Games is an independent games studio from North Yorkshire, UK.
Three friends—emboldened by multiple game jam successes—decided to develop one of their game jam games into a full release. They founded Gravy Crew Games in 2024 in order to self-publish their first game, Rules & Rodents, on Steam.
With the support of the Game Republic network, Gravy Crew Games has been uplifted to being a regional studio working on its next project. The Fresh Start Pathway is the next step in the development of the studio. With aspirations to work on cross-development as well as own IP, the professional support provided will enable Gravy Crew Games to move forward with confidence.
The funding will provide us with the space and opportunity to focus on our current project, A Hundred Haunts, which we hope will be an excellent example of what Starter Fund funding can enable

Quote
I started my game development journey with the aid of the Game Republic Skills Boot Camp, generously provided by Next Gen Skills Academy. This course led to the founding of GCG, and taught me how much I can personally develop when I engage with business support.
Our business plan was to self-publish our own game as proof of our skills, and then prototype a second game that we could pitch. We released Rules & Rodents in March 2025, and have successfully pitched A Hundred Haunts to the Starter Fund.
The Fresh Start Pathway is ideal for GCG, which has cut its teeth on business and game development. With the funding and support provided by the Starter Fund, we plan to develop further into a studio that works with partners on co-development and offers work opportunities for contractors and graduates.
