All Sett

At Kaiyou Games, we want to work at the intersection of games and real-world knowledge. We aim to spark curiosity and create joyful moments with deeper principles underneath. Our team brings a diverse range of professional experience – spanning the games industry, enterprise software and digital learning – and a shared love of learning. We build deep, collaborative relationships with subject experts, translating rich, real knowledge into play.

Our first game, All Sett, doesn’t treat sustainability as a gimmick or an add-on: it’s baked into the soul of the game itself. Our aim as a studio, with the support of the Starter Fund, is to build on All Sett to establish a repeatable model for games that make complex, real-world subjects simple, relatable and most importantly, fun.

Key features

  • All Sett is a cosy home-renovation game: it has all the charm of a nostalgic British storybook come to life, with warm ink-wash art and a classic narrator guiding the way through the journey.
  • Our lead is a young badger restoring an inherited, weather-worn sett into a warm, sustainable home. Every challenge is grounded in real retrofit and sustainability know-how from a RIBA-chartered, Passivhaus-accredited architect. As they build and craft, without even noticing, our players learn how to make their own homes cosier and more energy-efficient.
  • The game is suitable for all ages and is perfect for anyone who likes a cosy, low-stakes game with a homely feel. It will be available on PC/Mac via Steam at launch, with Nintendo Switch targeted for full release.

Quote

While we have deep team expertise in software development, digital learning and sustainability, this is our first move together into games development. With the support of the Starter Fund, we hope to build a development pipeline, business practice and the community relationships that will allow us to grow into a sustainable games studio for the long term.
