John Brick
Fetch Quest is an independent UK game studio founded by Adil Ahmed, an experienced game developer with a passion for original games that put gameplay first, with an emphasis on fun and comedy. The studio began with John Brick, a solo-developed VR prototype that has grown into its debut project.
The Starter Fund support comes at a pivotal stage in Fetch Quest’s development. It will enable the studio to bring talented contractors and specialists onto John Brick, transforming the existing playable prototype into a polished vertical slice while establishing stronger production pipelines and working relationships.
The goal is to build a lean, collaborative studio capable of bringing together the right talent for each project. By developing those foundations through John Brick, Fetch Quest aims to create a sustainable independent games business with a repeatable production pipeline, enabling it to develop and release original games on a regular schedule.

Receiving the Starter Fund support is an incredible opportunity for Fetch Quest at a pivotal stage in the studio’s journey. I applied because I wanted to take what I’d built independently and give it the opportunity to grow into something more. The funding will allow me to bring talented developers and specialists together around John Brick, expanding the studio’s development capabilities and building the foundations for a sustainable independent games business. It’s an important step towards moving beyond solo development and creating a team and production pipeline that can support original games long after John Brick.
Having the Starter Fund support at this stage means a great deal. I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity and excited to see what Fetch Quest can become!
