MVP Football / MVP American Football

We’re MVP Games, an independent mobile studio based in Liverpool. The studio was founded by Adam Pritchard and Paddy Jeynes. Adam brings over a decade of experience in senior roles at some of the UK’s most successful mobile studios, leading production and commercial strategy. Paddy leads narrative and creative direction, shaping the voice behind everything the studio makes.

The ambition was always to make sports games. Whodunit? 5-Minute Murder Mysteries, our first release, was a slight detour along the way, albeit a successful one: launched in 2024, it built a loyal audience and landed us a two-book publishing deal. It also proved that one of our real strengths is storytelling, something we’re carrying forward into MVP Football and beyond.

The Starter Fund is what gets that ambition off the page and into players’ hands for the first time.

Key features

  • A mobile American football game built around the journey of a young quarterback, from high school hopeful to pro starter.
  • The player takes on the quarterback’s decisions, reading the field, judging the throw, and living with the consequences.
  • Structured in short, replayable levels built from real snap-by-snap scenarios rather than full drives, keeping sessions quick and mobile-native.
  • A single authored career arc carries the player from high school through college recruitment to the professional draft and beyond.
  • Every level is wrapped in narrative, from pre-game motivation to post-match analysis, giving the career arc a voice most sports games leave out.
  • Designed for iOS and Android, targeting pro and college football fans currently underserved by existing mobile sports games.
  • Positioned in the gap between hardcore simulation titles, which alienate all but committed fans, and shallow casual sports games, which offer no lasting depth.

Quote

The Starter Fund means we’ll finally be able to bring in the specialist skills MVP Football actually needs: a dedicated developer and a 3D specialist doing the work only they can do, rather than the two of us covering every gap ourselves. Just as important is what comes with it: being part of the wider UK Games Fund community, surrounded by other studios further along the same road. For a studio our size, that combination changes how we’re able to work and grow as a team, well beyond this one project. We’re genuinely grateful for the backing.
