Speedrun (working title)

Electric Sheep Studios is a London-founded independent game development and co-development studio, bringing together developers, artists and creatives with experience across AAA, indie, multiplayer and live-service games. The studio was formed during a difficult period for the games industry, creating a home for talented people affected by layoffs and building a remote-first culture that values sustainable development, creativity and mental health.

We are working together because we believe small, experienced teams can create ambitious games without sacrificing the people making them. The Starter Fund gives us the opportunity to prove that vision through Speedrun: strengthening the prototype, validating its core co-op experience and creating the foundation for a commercially viable original IP. For Electric Sheep Studios, the programme is also an important step towards securing further investment, growing sustainably and establishing ourselves as a long-term UK games studio.

Key features

  • Superhero co-op built around one simple fantasy: the world is in danger, time is almost frozen, and you have seconds to work together and save the day.
  • Players coordinate in “bullet time”, planning routes, rescuing civilians and combining their abilities before time snaps back into motion.
  • Designed for couch co-op, making communication, teamwork and the inevitable chaos between friends part of the fun.
  • Short, replayable scenarios reward experimentation, faster solutions and better coordination, turning each rescue into a challenge players will want to master.
  • Accessible to pick up, but built to offer satisfying problem-solving and depth as players learn to use time and their powers more effectively.
  • Developed in Unity for PC, with a controller-first approach suited to future console release.
  • Aimed at players who enjoy cooperative games, superhero fantasies, puzzles and memorable shared experiences.
