Tabula
We’re This Way Up! We’re a small team of developers that met whilst studying at Falmouth University. Having won the Industry Choice award at the Falmouth Games Expo in our 3rd year, as well as achieving 2nd place at Gamebridge Student Games Festival, we decided to stick together and found our own indie studio.
We’re so grateful to be receiving the Starter Fund for our newest game! Receiving this funding means we can focus on finishing Tabula while working more closely with our community, as well as expanding our brand awareness and laying the foundation for more ambitious game projects in the future.

Key features
- Tabula is a mind-bending, level-based puzzler about overlapping computer windows to create traversable, top-down landscapes. Delve into the heart of a mysterious operating system, one folder at a time!
- A peculiar virus has taken root at the heart of the Tabula CS-1, a computer system that was lost to time. Alongside Little Bit, a newly-installed anti-virus, you are tasked with freeing the computer from the malware’s clutches.
- Each level in Tabula is comprised of a set of traversable computer windows. Rearrange and layer the windows to create a path, so that Little Bit can reach and activate the level’s checkpoints. Activate all checkpoints to open a portal to the end of the level!
- Our initial release is targeting PC via Steam, though we’re also looking to port the game to the Google Play Store to tap into the mobile market and its large amount of puzzle game players.

Quote
The funding will allow many of us to work full-time on the game during a particularly crucial juncture, as we work towards the game’s release.
It will help us to realise our goal of elevating the studio to a more stable position where we can approach our game projects not as part-time hobbyists, but as professional game developers.
Looking to the future, we’re excited to continue pouring our passion into Tabula and presenting a version of the game which we can all be proud of.
