Zombie Dog
Brickmouse is an indie game studio proudly based in Yorkshire. We’re interested in unique and idiosyncratic IP. We’re not chasing the current trends and we’re not afraid of being bold. We came together to make distinctive casual games with depth, both in terms of gameplay and storytelling.
The Starter Fund will enable us to bring on some key staff to help refine and solidify both the core mechanics and the underlying architecture of the project. This will get us into a position where we’re appealing to investors and production ready for the developing the full game.

Key features
- Zombie Dog is a zombie herding sheepdog game set in Yorkshire. Its unique herd ’em up mechanic combines strategic coordination and timing with puzzle solving and comedic physics-based mayhem!
- Set firmly in the landscape and culture of Yorkshire the game’s narrative and feel could be summarised as Shaun of the Dead meets Shaun the Sheep, combining gratuitous but slapstick violence with irreverent British humour.
- As well as the unique control mechanism that uses traditional sheepdog commands, we’re developing original music-based physics system to heighten the comic effects of herding zombies into a crazy variety of zombie mashing contraptions.
- Framed by a heart-warming narrative about acceptance & belonging Zombie Dog is a casual but competitive game that rewards practice to develop your zombie herding skills and move up the global leaderboards.
- We’re initially targeting Steam, EGS, PlayStation & Xbox.

As a new studio we applied for the Starter Fund to help develop a robust and engaging vertical slice for Zombie Dog to give future collaborators the confidence to invest in the game, and in us as a studio. The Starter Fund will enable us to expand our team and bring on key expertise in engineering, design and animation so we can really show off the potential of the project, and our ability to manage the development of creative and innovative IP. We’re excited to become part of a wider network of support along with the other funded teams. It’s a fantastic opportunity and we’re thrilled to be involved!
